Oil Prices Live ("the App") is developed by Mobile Card Games & Travel Apps LLC and is available for iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). This Privacy Policy covers both versions and explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and how your privacy is protected. Where the two platforms differ, the difference is called out below.
Oil Prices Live works without an account, and you can use it without providing any personal information. Viewing live prices sends no data about you — the app simply reads price documents (commodity, currency, price, timestamp) from our Firebase backend.
The app does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or photos, and it serves no ads.
Alert data (push token, random installation ID, alert settings) is used solely to deliver the price alerts you set up. Purchase data is used to unlock and validate your Pro subscription. Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand which subscriptions are purchased and which Apple Search Ads campaigns lead to installs, so we can decide where to spend advertising budget. Nothing is used to build a personal profile of you.
This app uses Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) on both platforms. The Firebase SDK collects usage and session data (app opens, session duration, screen views) together with device information and a randomly generated app-instance identifier, and the app logs subscription purchase and renewal events — transaction ID, price, currency, product ID, and whether the purchase was an initial purchase or a renewal. This data does not include your name or email, and the app never uses Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) on iOS or the Google advertising ID on Android — on Android the advertising-ID permission is explicitly removed from the app.
On iOS only, the app also uses Apple's AdServices framework to measure Apple Search Ads: it requests an attribution token from Apple to determine which Apple Search Ads campaign (if any) led to the install. This token is generated by Apple, contains no personal information, does not use the advertising identifier, and does not require tracking permission. The resulting campaign, ad-group, keyword, and country identifiers are recorded in Firebase Analytics and used in aggregate to measure advertising effectiveness. The Android app performs no ad attribution.
The app communicates with the following services:
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else.
All communication with Firebase, RevenueCat, and Apple happens over encrypted HTTPS connections, and Firebase App Check verifies that backend requests originate from the genuine app.
You can:
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) give you rights over your personal data, including the rights to know, access, correct, and delete it. Because we do not hold your data on servers we operate, there is typically nothing for us to access or delete on request — deleting the App deletes your data. Where the App does process data in transit, or a third-party service described above collects data, you may contact us at the email below to exercise your rights, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. In some regions, including the European Union, a higher minimum age applies to consent for data processing; the same statement applies there — we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the applicable age.
In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting user data on any system we operate, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
